This coco fibre mattress from The Natural Mattress Company offers medium firm support and is the most breathable and organic children's mattress available, providing the perfect natural sleeping environment. It's available in both the standard UK single size (190cm) or the slightly longer European standard single size (200cm). Both are suitable for kids of all ages up to teens.
100% natural, 100% non allegenic, these hand made mattresses (hand made in Devon) are breathable and naturally fire retardant.
The Coco Mat is handmade from coir (the husk of a coconut) from the only organic coir plantation in the world. Because of its excellent breathability the body can easily regulate it's temperature whilst sleeping.
Organic coir is naturally springy and offers excellant support. The coir is wrapped in anti-dust mite lambs wool, treated with lemon, lavender and eucalyptus which renders it dust mite free.
Lambs wool also acts as a soft tufting and is an excellent insulator and ventilator. The mattress is covered in a 100% cotton herringbone cover which is removable and can be washed at 60ºC to kill any bacteria.
Note that the soft feel of this mattress makes it less suitable for older children and teenagers. We would recommend the Latex Mattress or the Mohair Mattress for older kids.
