Shoes to wear in a heat wave?

Shoes are a necessity; they are on our feet for the majority of the day, so it’s very important that we wear the right shoes in a heat wave.

As we are all different there can’t be any hard and fast rules on which shoes you should wear in hot weather, there can be however a rule of thumb.

You want to choose a pair of shoes that are comfortable, light and allows the air to circulate around the foot. If you’re on holiday and doing a bit of sight seeing and you are a woman a pair of ladies sandals with low to medium size heel with an open back will feel great or you could choose a pair of cork Wedge shoes, open peep toed, the cork sole will cushion your feet as you walk.

If you are a man, a pair of, back strap, men’s sandals with adjustable straps and a cork sole that acts like a shock absorber cushioning the feet when walking.

If you are working you have to wear shoes appropriate for your work so if you are a builder you need to wear your safety Boots but change into some light and airy shoes as soon as you can to let your feet breath. But if you work in an environment where you can choose the shoes you wear choose shoes that are as open as possible, that are easy to slip on and off and slip them off as often as possible to let the air circulate around them and cooling them down.

If you’re playing sports again wear the right sports shoe for your sport so if you are playing tennis choose light Tennis Shoes that has breathable uppers, if your playing football choose a leather shoe as opposed to a man made upper that doesn’t allow your feet to breath. If you are playing a sport and have to wear Trainers then choose Trainers with breathable uppers and in all the above cases slip into some cool open sandals as soon as you can.

The main thread is that in hot weather wear shoes that not only support your feet but allows your feet to breath and be as cool as possible and when ever possible wear cool comfortable sandals, there hundreds of styles to satisfy everyone’s taste
