If shoes are as dear to your heart as one of your loved ones then maybe you should consider having a pair of shoes custom made for you. I read in the paper earlier this month that Prince Charles went to a company that hand made Leather Shoes and whilst there mentioned that the pair of shoes he was wearing were forty years old.

A pair of hand made Leather Shoes would cost the prince today around three thousand pounds, a lot of money you’re thinking, and you’d be right but when you consider that they are going to last over 40 years, and that’s what the prince said, that brings the price down to an equivalent seventy five pounds a year. How much did your last pair cost and how long did they last?

I’m not saying that you need to pay that much for a pair of shoes but if you take all things into consideration a made to measure pair of shoes is not such a bad idea.

I wonder if both your feet are exactly the same size, I doubt it; I wonder if they are both identical in shape, I doubt it. I wonder if you paid for a made to measure pair of shoes would you have to break them in and suffer with blisters, I doubt it.

I don’t think you need to go to a custom shoe maker with a Royal Warrant or be a prince or an oil sheik to afford a pair of tailor made pair of shoes, there are many smaller shoe makers all over the country and yes they are going to cost more than a pair of shoes will cost on the high street but for those of you who’s feet are not identical or who suffer for weeks when breaking in a new pair of shoes I suggest that a custom made pair of shoes could be the answer.
