Girls Like Sparkly Shoes

Shoes are adorned with sequins, crystals, glitter and jewels. Girls love shoes, they love sparkle, put the two together and you have a winning combination.

We humans are very creative and we like our creature comforts, we invented shoes to protect our feet from sharp stones, rough ground, thorns and everything else that could damage our feet. Then we progressed to designing shoes that made life that bit easier. We designed shoes with long pointed toes to make dismounting a horse easier in battle. We designed shoes with high heels so men could look taller when confronting their peers in government; Boots were invented for our marching armies and riding cavalry.
Eventually shoes were designed for women and the fashion revolution and the shoe industry has never looked back.

Designers took high heels, pointed toes, and adorned these shoes anything that shined. They make shoes that are comfortable and sensible for women and they are bought and worn in their millions, mainly during working hours or sporting activities. But when it comes to a night out on the town comfort goes out of the window.

Girls will put up with some discomfort for shoes that make them look good. Shoes with sequins glitter or diamante, it doesn’t matter, what matters is that the shoes make the girl feel good, to the extent that two or three blisters are a price worth paying.

Shoes that sparkle come in many styles, you can find flat sparkly sandals, for the girl that needs to add a bit of height to her stature there are wedges or high heeled pumps fully adorned with shinny material of one sort or another.

So maybe shoes were first invented by man for men but today shoes are made for women. The shoe fashions of yesterday are still around today but for the opposite sex to which they were intended. If you were to ask most men if they would wear high heels you would probably get a negative answer.

Jewelled and sequined shoes are not a new phenomenon; they  have stood the test of time, girls love them and boys love to see the girls wearing then, all in all it’s a win win for all concerned.
