Scottish man and woman –
Men’s fancy dress - If you have Scottish friends, ask if you can borrow a kilt. Wear a white shirt and a pair of Scottish socks and a pair of black boots.
Ladies fancy dress –Any plaid or checked skirt or dress will complement your partner’s kilt costume. Wear a black fitted waist coat over the top of the dress and a pair of long knee high boots.
Couples Pirate fancy dress-
Man’s costume – wear a black pair of trousers and a black shirt. Tie a red sash around your waist and a red bandana around your head. You can wear an eye patch or carry a sword to finish off the costume.
Ladies costume- Wear a short dress and cut the hemline into a ragged line. Wear a tight fitting corset over the top and wear high heeled black boots. You can turn this into a ‘buxom’ pirate wench costume by wearing a low cut dress and a push up bra. A long curly wig will finish your outfit off nicely.
Hawaiian man and woman fancy dress –
Man’s costume –Wear a Hawaiian shirt and a pair of cropped shorts. Add a pair of sunglasses and a straw hat to finish off your costume.
Ladies costume –Wear a tight fitting floral dress in any length; pinks, greens and oranges look great. The dress should show your bare arms - halter neck dresses are perfect for this outfit. Wear a pair of thongs or flip flops and a large pair of sunglasses.
Couples Cowboy and cowgirl costume –
Men’s costume – Wear a pair of denim jeans and a check shirt. Finish the costume off with a plain waistcoat and a neckerchief. If you have some cowboy boots, now is the time to wear them.
Ladies costume – You can make great ladies fancy dress costume with a pair of jeans and a silk or check shirt. Tuck the shirt into your jeans, and wear a pair of cowgirl boots. Curl your hair, wear a cowgirl hat and carry a rifle. You’ll look just like Annie Oakley.
