Fancy dress costumes from the films
A huge amount of the inspiration for fancy dress costumes come from films or TV, because men, ladies and children love to dress up as their favourite heroes. Pirates, superheroes, characters, animals and famous people are some of the top choices.
Star Wars
Princess Leia is one of the top Star Wars fancy dress costumes for ladies and girls. The classic bun wig is available with the costume, or as an optional extra. The Princess’s long white robe and belt, is quite an easy costume to make, or you can buy the whole outfit online.
The child or adult Darth Vader is an ideal villain costume. The kids love the cloak, jumpsuit and famous mask. There is an adult Darth Vader Star Wars Supreme Edition, which includes the famous breathing mask. It has an LED belt, which takes A4 batteries, and the mask is actually cast in the same moulds as the original Lucas Studios casts. 70s fancy dress
The Mamma Mia film is full of ideas for 70s costumes. Flared Lycra trousers, floral shirts and long wigs are favourites of both men and women. Mamma Mia is a bold and fun film, and there are lots of fancy dress costumes relating to this era. Abba is a perfect example. The show and the film are full of Abba’ songs and Abba fancy dress costumes can be worn for 70s or Abba themed parties.
Grease
Grease brought us Pink Ladies jackets and Grease Poodle costumes. The men wore tight trousers, black T-shirts and black leather jackets. Slicked back, greased hair completed the Grease T-Bird look. Whether you are a Sandy or a Danny, you will find a fun costume from this film.
Pirate fancy dress
