Applications In Development For Android Phones

 

There are a lot of applications in development for Android enabled phones. The OS has actually taken on more devices than it was originally thought that it would when it first debuted. There was of course some idea that it would be successful, but nobody had the idea it would be this good.

When Android first came into existence it got really good reviews because the applications ran smoothly, battery life was above average, and the native applications were well thought out, ran good, and were a bit less buggy than some of it's competition.

When developers started making applications for the OS they were surprised by the ease of use and how it was not as hard as they first thought it would be to write for the OS. People were first told that because of the way the databases would be handled, it would not be to accepting of anything that would go against the grain so to speak. In other words it was not too forgiving.

That proved to not be the case however. More and more applications were hitting the market after some time that seemed to run off of every aspect of the OS that people were warned against writing for. This showed quite a bit of resilience in the market and when going up against Blackberry and Apple they actually did rather well.

The marketing campaign was really the Ace in the Hole however. It was that marketing campaign that took development for Android to the next level as people everywhere felt comfortable grabbing on to the OS because it already felt like home. It soon became secondary nature to think of Android when talking mobile apps. It did not take long for Android to overtake the market and have almost as many running apps as everyone else.
